The navy pelted femme stepped onto the land with silent, dainty paws. Petite frame swayed slightly with her steps, plume flicking lazily at her haunches. Cranium lifted high, nostrils flaring as she scented the air, auds twitching. Pale green eyes gleamed as they took in the vast emptiness and beauty of the land. It was beautiful.. Untouched.
Uninhabited. But she would work hard to change that.. Tilting her head back, she parted her jaws and let a long, high howl slip past her lips. The call was ringing and pure; a silvery and gorgeous note upon the air that seemed to quiver and echo before fading away. Pale eyes closed as she dropped her head back, body curling in on itself as she settled onto the soil to rest.
The land was hers now. There was no one to challenge; to dispute her claim on the land. But hopefully there would be others to populate it soon. Perhaps someone to share responsibility with. But she wouldn't worry about that now. It would all fall into place with time..

A howl rang through the air, alerting the pup that there was finally another wolf nearby. Her white pelt shone in the light, but her black ears and the black tip of her tail gleamed. She tried to take good care of herself, but could only do so much. She ran as quickly as she could in the direction of the howl, hoping the owner of the land she was now on wouldn't mind her being there. She jumped over rocks in the area, making some noise to announce her arrival in the area. Up ahead, maybe ten yards away, was a beautiful wolf resting on the ground. Taki's large green eyes glittered as she stepped towards the navy colored wolf and made a simpering noise from her throat.

Sye's lime gaze jumped toward the sound of approaching paws. Turning her head, she studied the whelp with mute fascination and interest. It was not common to run across a young pup in a solitary land, thus it suprised her that one would be there. But just because she was startled, that didn't mean that Sye was going to become hostile. It simply wasn't her style.
Standing, she made a gentle rumbling sound in the back of her throat, trying to comfort and assuring the younger wolf that she was in no danger. Sye meant her no harm and wasn't angry to find her on what was now her land. And she was most happy to welcome her onto it, if she needed a home.
"Come here, little one." she said gently.
((Sorry I took so long. xD Been off for break. -_-))

Taki watched her paws, contemplating her choices of action. She felt safe enough... she slowly stepped towards the other wolf. "Y-yes Ma'am....I ah...I guess this is your land?" Her tail twitched slightly with anticipation. If only she hadn't been so curious...then maybe she could be attempting to find some food...
('Tis okay)

Patiently awaiting the whelp's decision, Sye watched as she seemed to hesitate. Maybe she would run, but perhaps she would not. Understandably, she was relieved when she instead chose to approach. Someone to talk to! Even if it was only a whelp, to whom she probably couldn't relate much. It didn't matter. Sye just liked company. Of any age.
"It is, yes. I only claimed it a few minutes ago, though." she admitted with a warm, cheerful smile. She was new to the idea of being in charge, but she figured she could handle it. Flicking her tail lazily, she spoke again in her habitually warm tones. "I'm Sye, and what's your name, little one?" Her tone was curious but not demanding, a friendly offering since she had no idea of anything else to offer or that the whelp might be hungry.

Taki timidly sat down next to Sye. "I'm Taki. How do ya' know if its not someone elses land already? 'Cuz I've seen places that look unowned, but then someone comes over to yell at me." She asked the question out of pure curiosity, not really knowing how to be a smart aleck.

Masculine bodice slid between the trees, night was quickly approaching as he walked along. Knowing that he could be attacked by the alpha whom resided here, but no alpha's scent was present. Only female scents came to him, the towering trees bellowed as he continued on. The grass swayed with the light breeze that he felt, and so the wolf moved on. Grey Back was a wise wolf, and he could fight.
His three scars across his left side of his face told a sad tale, one he did not wish to remember. But as he did remember a growl came from him, the beasts that gave him the scars should have died in the battle. Instead he had let them leave, alive. Only for them to come back and kill his pack, never again will he allow such destruction to a pack.
Sonars flicked back and forth as he listened to the sounds, soon the birds fell silent. He listened for anyone coming near him, but alas there was none that where. Very trusting where the wolves of these lands, to let those whom do not belong onto the lands with a wild ease.
But he was not fooled, the alpha or alphess was perhaps watching his every move. Unless she did not know he was here, then in that case he would make himself known. Walking toward a stream he dipped his large mug to the water, lapping up the cool substance. It felt nice as it slid down toward his stomach, his hair stood on end for a moment because of the coolness of it. Crossing the stream he walked on, soon he crossed a dead gnarled looking tree and he heard voices. Across from him where two females, one he thought was the alpha. A sigh came from him, to rule or be ruled by another. He was not used to it, but he would not quibble either about it. Peace was key, but only to an extent.
He would fight if he had to, and soon all would find this out. Stepping forward once he let out a rumbling howl, a howl that spoke of a wolf coming forth. As his howl ended he stepped through the brush, red orbs looking at the young wolf whom he thought was alpha female. It would be a hard time when a pup ruled but Grey Back knew that to mold a pup into a wolf, responsibility was key. He knew, or at least hoped that she would be a good alpha. Opening his baritone voice box he spoke, polite and honoring.
"Hello my lady, Mine name is Grey Back. Former alpha of........well, anyway. I have come here to seek acceptance in your pack, if I have to I will fight for it."
Reclining in front of her he looked like an intelligent fox, only he was a large brute. Nares quivered as he waited her answer, sitting patiently. And still no animal made a noise all the while he was waiting.

Taki heard Grey Back's howl and whimpered. She crouched behind Vida as he stepped closer to them. He was so large, it seemed, that he could fight anyone who dared to challenge him. She thought this over, wondering how he could be the former owner of a pack, when he looked so strong. It was commen sense that the larger, stronger, and smarter wolf would win its battles, and he was large, looked strong, and by his politeness, he seemed smart too.

"It's fairly simple, Taki."Sye responded gently to her question. "There is a certain scent to claimed land, that wasn't here when I arrived. It still hasn't been effectively marked, but for now the fact that we're here is enough. Though that protection won't last long." she said, smiling softly at her.
Her soft expression cooled slightly though as the scent of a male reached her nostrils. This had the potential to be dangerous, though Sye hoped it would not be. She wasn't much of a fighter at all, which would make them vulnerable if this male were a threat to them. If not, though, he could potentially be an asset to the pack as it began to grow. But she would have to be cautious, and wait to see.
His howl sent an immediate shiver up her spine, an instinctive reaction to the intrusion of a stranger. But at least he had announced himself- even if he had wandered onto the land before he had done so. She would have to make sure such a thing didn't happen again. As she caught sight of the male, she studied him with open interest and curiousity, not afraid to let him know that she was aware of his power. She wasn't stupid, after all.
As he spoke, she nodded gently. "Welcome, Grey Back. I'm Sye, Alphess of Heaven's Path." Her tone was warm and sweet, though slightly scolding when she spoke her next line. "It's a pleasure to meet you- despite the fact that you've intruded uninvited." Still, she didn't seem bothered by his presence, and by his tone she assumed that he was not a threat to them and therefore worth giving a chance.
"There's no need to fight just now. I'm happy to accept you into the pack. "she continued, even as she turned slightly to drop her head and nudge Taki reassuringly. She would let nothing bad happen to the younger femme. "Say hello, Taki." she coaxed gently, soothingly.

Taki bobbed her white head up and down. "h-hello....sir.....my name is Taki...." she looked around feeling uncomfortable "Um...did you travel far? I did...I think. Maybe five moons worth" she eyed him curiously.

(sorry its takeing so long, i dont have internet and my husband drives me around every where.)
Ears swivled as he caught Sye's words to Taki, and he smiled to himself. As he watched he looked at the young pup, and the young alphess. Laying on his elbows he wagged his rump in the air in a playful manner toward Taki as she spoke, he also heard the alphess as well. A small chuckle came from him, so there where other lights around. He was realived, Opening his maw he spoke to both Taki and Sye.
"Hello Taki, It is a pleasure to meet you. I hope you do not take this rudely my lady, but arent we all strangers. No one can really know the other truely, that is why there is trust. Forgive me and I thank you for accepting me, for I know it is rude to intrude but I did not scent another untill I came closer toward the two of you and figured that one of you where the alphess."
He watched as Taki feared him, though why he did not know. He wouldnt hurt either of them, actually he liked them. For he did not know if he where the only light left, though he had hoped. He shook his dome, no there where more out there. He was sure of it.

--meh, better than me-- Taki couldn't help but wag her tail when he shook at her. Then she listened to what he said. He sounded so...relieved. (I'm sorry for the shortness...writers block. ^^

((Sorry I took so long! And I hope you both will check out my site. (http://cruisecounty.proboards78.com <--linky. Hope to see you there! ))
Sye settled onto her haunches to watch Grey Back and Taki interact, interested in seeing how this male would relate to a young pup- especially a younger female. After all, she didn't want dangerous males in her pack. And despite her sureness that he wasn't dangerous, she still wanted to be cautious.
As he spoke, she smiled lightly and nodded. "That is true, and I don't really mind that you've showed up so suddenly. Truthfully, I'm glad, because I have no idea how many lights are in the area- or how many of other alignments. It will be nice to have company." she said cheerfully.
((Crap post.))

"Mmhmm... the last wolf I saw was a neutral, and that was three days ago. He didn't want much company though......I've never seen so many teeth......." she shuddered remembering a large wolf she passed going through a marsh.
